"It’s easy to raise cash. It just happened twice in 6 months." The second cash raise was completely contingent on Hopper's appointment. Just because something "happens" doesn't mean it's easy. Without Hopper, that cash raise might have been a death blow.

Clyde - Howard - Costello is a great example. The electorate might have had enough of Howard but if you think Costello would have polled better than Howard, well I can only disagree. They nearly elected Dutton instead of Turnbull for crying out loud. The equivalent at SUDA would be to sack Steve Carter and replace him with the commissioner of police. Steve seems to be so on the nose that some would do that.

I'll leave it at that. but it might be worth some discussion outside the glare of Hot Copper - everything seems so inflammatory
