I'm thinking it (the late dump) is in anticipation of a poor quarterly. There are occasional surprises with quarterlies but mostly I think the market has it pretty right. So I wouldn't hold your breath for any positive change in sentiment with the quarterly. On the other hand, maybe it was just de-risking ahead of the quarterly. One can only hope. I'm definitely more focussed on future deals announcements rather than a quarterly.
