I agree. They could have worded it much better.
Lack of a proper PR person, or someone within the team to know how to structure such a statement.
Mentioning significant/material decrease in net profit isn't going to be positive news in any sense, but if it's just a bit, it should be fine.
There are still a few months left, but most importantly, it's how you put a positive spin to the 'positive' outlook to come. Don't go digging up or stating negative issues which has not impacted the company much.
