I am sure the gold miners and the superannuation funds have realised, the tectonic plates have shifted for gold.
If I was NST, I would be going to the super funds and asking, 'what do you guys need to invest in NST'? The super funds might say, 'we need a $20 share price, and a $1 per year, share dividend'. If I was NST, I would pay the share dividend, and the share price would look after itself.
After all, a projected gold price, for later this year, will be $AUD4500 ($US3000). Hardly a time to play 'poor me', while rolling in coin, like Scrooge!
The dividend is a form of business insurance. It gets rid of the shorters, and all the nefarious forces, leading to NST as a takeover target. (Who wants to go back to $7 a share?)
It allows NST to focus on its mining operations, and it allows the super funds to say they are supporting Australian industry, so they can setup their photo ops at the super pit. Win, win!
Even Albanese will be down there with his dog, Toto!
