Madeleine King's Department has started handing out gas exploration grants of about $5m a pop for pilot projects. Seem to have gone to Queensland companies so far where they aren't too far from gas pipeline infrastructure to add to the east coast market if successful. E.G. GAS & COI & QPM.

I wonder whether BRU has made an application. They are a fair distance from pipeline infrastructure, but the NW of WA could do with a local gas supply. She also hails from WA for what it's worth.

Maybe BRU could get in on a second round of funding if not in the first round. $5m grant would be handy.
