Its a sales pitch for all voting shareholders - not just those attending the AGM. If you dont want a spill then I'd suggest voting against it instead of sitting on hands and leaving up to god's hands. Vice versa if you want the spill. I've said which way I prefer this to go but Im not going to do anyone's bidding.
Could vote against spill and against re-election of the chairman if wanting to take a pound of flesh without a total spill.
It'll likely come down to what the shareholder overlord does though.
