@Hardcash. "I recon she needs to produce that per DAY, not per MONTH".

The minimum requirement per day to satisfy the MOU for gas to power is 5000m3 per day. In comparison, on 1 day in March the pilot plant produces 465 m3 and therefore the gas flow rate needs to increase 10.75 times rather than increase 30 times.

Currently the gas flow rate would be classified as minimal because the reservoir pressure has not yet decreased to levels below the critical desorption pressure. I have read that other CSG fields have experienced SIGNIFICANT increase in gas flow rate following desorption of the gas and it is quite possible for the coal permeability to increase 10-fold due to shrinkage of the coal and extension of the fractures within the coal as reservoir pressure continues to deplete to levels below the critical gas desorption pressure.

We need to be patient on reaching critical gas desorption pressure. If the process is rushed, it is possible for peak gas rates to suffer. I have also read that the magnitude of the peak gas flow rate and the duration of the gas flow rate plateau period is dependent on how much casing pressure is applied.

So best to wait for a substantial increase in gas flow rate following gas desorption.
