Don't know a lot about that situation mate, could be a variety of factors. Possibly they have a bigger/more modern rig or the lithology they were digging through was much friendlier to progress through and they had more knowledge of the area and pressures expected. Don't forget, we don't really have specifics on this area at these depths since A-1 collapsed in on itself. 180 metres can be chewed through very quickly though you are right to note that.
