That's not how CSG works. there's so much subsurface heterogeneity - I worked in the Surat basin for 10+ years in CSG. There are many different reasons for poor well performance, and some of those can be optimised/rectified. Some acreage in the Surat basin performs very poorly, some parts perform extremely well.
