You might say that five years isn't much, and in some scenarios that may be a fair statement, but consider that management involved in establishing AEB had already started another biofuel company, which they made a lot of money out of before it failed and investors lost everything, before they started AEB. While the shareprice of AEB has fallen quite predictably, once again, directors have made money out of AEB over the last five or so years, directly out of the pockets of investors.
Let's look at your four 'short-term catalysts'
1) The India plant is soon to be commissioned. Okay, so what is this plant? It is something in India which is designed to do what they claim was done years ago in Australia. One may well ask why they are bothering, and while AEB has not given a clear answer, the answer does seem to be clear. The company declared the last pilot plant a success, so, best case scenario, they will, once this pilot plant runs its course, again say that the results were good and they believe the technology is wonderful. Given that by then it will be news quite a few years old, even when it is all over, several years from now, why would this cause much of a price increase? Let alone in the near future!
2) How cute to say that they are on schedule! They promised they would be in full commercial production with sales bringing in a healthy revenue stream, that was supposed to all be last year. I can't see the price responding significantly until (unless) they actually start selling something. Even on their own schedule, which their track record indicates is extremely unlikely to be kept, this is a long way down the track.
3) They are 'continuing the certification process'? Well stone the crows. We are supposed to be excited about them getting organic certification on a product which looks increasingly doubtful they'll ever to get sell anyway? Slapping an 'organic' label on a fad health product isn't really going to make much difference to price, let's face it. Those things can have any number of gimmick labels slathered across them. Seriously, if they announce that they have organic certification tomorrow, do you think the share price is going to skyrocket? News which carried future promise used to cause brief rallies for AEB, but this happens a lot less strongly now as the market has become accustomed to empty news. Something as trivial as this really doesn't carry too much significance.
4). Please. This is a completely meaningless statement. It is as insulting of you to repeat those words as it was for them to put them to the market in the first place.
I could respond with a list of reasons I think the price will continue to decline, as I did for several years, and indeed the price did decline, but hey, I'll just let the chart continue on doing its thing.
