Yep. The main thing, the main sentence in the announcement, the key sentence in the announcement, the WOW factor in the announcement was....
"Stage 1 stimulation operations completed successfully. Stage 1 executed as per plan with all proppant placed in reservoir Icewine#2"
Though what exactly do they mean by this. Do they mean the proppant has been placed into the well, as in, they have pumped it into the reservoir, or do they mean it's actually been placed successfully into the fractures?
If it's the latter then WOW. That would then surely now mean the chance of success would be better as this is one of the things that was a risk.
I would side with it being the latter simply because they said "operations completed successfully....executed as per plan". It would not be regarded as 'successful' if the proppant hadn't been embedded.
Though they do say 'all' proppant placed - I'd be surprised if every single piece of proppant was embedded into the fractures.
Any thoughts on this?
