The email reply is definitely not underwhelming. We'd all love Dave to state that the vast majority of the proppant has embedded successfully and securely, but he simply doesn't know that yet. He effectively says that the fracking process has gone as best as they had hoped and as planned.
What emphasises this further is they are going straight back in to frack the top part of the HRZ. No need for any changes to the frack design by the sounds of things. Seems very very promising.
Also in Dave Wall's email reply to me - could you not say that he's effectively implied that complex fractures exist?......
"How effectively it is placed inside of complex fractures is somewhat unknown. We have given it every chance."
He writes that as if he knows complex fractures have been created and exist. Written another way - We have given the proppant every chance to be placed effectively inside of complex fractures.
- IMO there's a good chance Schlumberger are fracking our well and it was them that stated that this "Is the best reservoir in the world". But that's my own speculation.
- Our reservoir was determined as 'highly frackable'.
- We didn't need to micro-frack. Which showed confidence that this would frack or at least where it was best to frack. No concerns from them about making sure of the best target area was chosen - just went straight in with a full frack.
- We have fracked the lower part of the HRZ 'successfully', and given the proppant 'the best chance' of embedding effectively.
- We are that confident the frack has gone well, so we are going almost instantaneously to the upper HRZ to frack that. No changes to the process needed by the looks of things. If things hadn't gone as planned with the lower zone, they'd obviously reassess how to frack the upper zone. No need!
Everything runs like clockwork here at 88E, and everything is positive.
