Yesterday was a classic example of people quickly scanning an RNS and not understanding it, and then over reacting, assuming the worst and spreading their fear into like minded people.
I read the RNS about 30 minutes after release and my initial thought was " great, the top and bottom of the HRZ are the same and the middle area is pretty much the same aw well. Oil will flow easier and there will be more"
Simple view of the RNS, might not be correct but after re-reading several times my initial view remained.
Was their need for this RNS to be released, probably not, but they had changed the process so hence an obligation to inform the market. Could it have been worded better to make the uneducated understand - yes.
End of the day management have more reasons for this to succeed than most punters so time to have a bit of faith and if all else fails just remember 1.5 billion barrels of conventional possibility so far on the initial block of land.
