It seems there are some people new to 88E, oil exploration and the share market in general...so here are some friendly tips from someone not that new to any of them:

- Orders placed in queue, whether buy or sell, mean absolutely nothing until the nanosecond the market opens (watch a couple of pre/post market auctions and how some of these mysteriously and instantly disappear just beforehand - many are jokes and/or mind tricks).

- We got an announcement because we've had one each week for months. Hence it's called an operations update. Significant or not, they are going to report on how operations are going. What the market chooses to do with this info is up to them.

- This is exactly what happened with the core sample updates at IW1. People read too much into individual words, looking for alarm bells that didn't exist and declared it a duster before the final results were even in. Thanks for the cheap shares; SP went from 0.6 to 6 cents in 2 months.

- Key words: "forward plan remains UNCHANGED and MAY include shut in to build pressure and/or artificial lift", which DW alluded to in a previous announcement. A normal occurrence in unconventional oil plays.

- What an awesome announcement for MM and downrampers to make a big deal out of while they accumulate shares from the last of the fence sitters. Dumb money is exactly that...

- This is a spec stock. It's win or lose. If announcements make you unsure about your holding position, you're 100% in the wrong share. May I recommend one of the ASX200 stocks for safer betting.
