the Ann also mentions "Additional technical analyses" - so it seems to me that they have acquired some data and it is different is some ways to the results that came out of the model - as a consequence of the recent Technical Analysis (which has prompted additional TA,) the model has been updated, and they are now updating the testing procedure to compare with the expected metrics from the revised model.

They are not tuning the equipment or the well, just ensuring the procedures are adapted collect the new metrics to comply with the revised model. Nothing sinister, just making sure no-one misses anything.
This is all conjecture of course, what I really believe is that Eric has said "Flipin' Eck Mate, we're gonna need bigger tankers"

To all those bent out of shape about the extra week it seems pretty clear to me that new information has emerged requiring new consideration.

Whether this is good or bad remains to be seen, but it is definite that something new/different has become known in the last week.
