It is pretty safe to assume 88e have recovered the down hole press data and it is the reason for the fine tune of the procedure.

We know the well was still maintaining an average flow of approx. 30bpd in the last week prior to shut in. That fact proves the reservoir pressure at shut in was above the hydrostatic head. Reservoir pressure recovery is driven by the existing pore pressure deeper within the fractured shale rock, which was initially calculated at 40% higher than hydrostatic. But is now believed to be higher than 40% as indicated by the statement

So it is a reasonable expectation that pressure will have recovered to some degree and it will provide the push needed to increase flow naturally. How that is utilized to maximize the opportunity to reach a production kick off is the question being posed around 88es table.
Combined with the knowledge gained on the proppant placement, (remember the tracers included) the pressure recovery curve will enable pretty accurate assessment of stimulated rock volume and permeability. All of which will give an expected hydrocarbon recovery.
88es problem is they cannot comment on theory and they surely will have one. As a responsible company bound by the legal frameworks of the exchanges listed on, they must wait for sufficient proof that the theory is right before making an announcement.
