Lol- I reckon Lawrie was a paid pumper- either directly or by association, with some of our former media "marketers'.
I don't buy for 1 minute he somehow was/is some sort of insider or close to the action, that's my opinion.
I look back on his "work" favourably of course, it was mostly good fun, but he was a bit too Icarus like and I think he got his wings clipped.....not because he's an "insider", more because his marketing employers got their wings clipped by EXR.
