When it comes to announcements, I am in the camp of monthly announcements meaning a calender month, because if we keep getting slippage like this between updates we will be lucky to have 8 monthly updates a year, not 12.
Anyway the time between updates aside, as you pointed out, this update does lack key information that should be in there. If it's not favorable, then so be it, but put the infirmation in there.
