One thing the rollercoaster of the last 18 months has shown is that companies without cash are at a real risk. No revenue means no scope for borrowing unless they go with the convertible loans which are often time bombs that allow the lender to seize the assets if things don't go well.
Given the uncertainty of the next 18 months better to grab cash now as a safety net. They have so much on they will need the cash.
