There is actual large scale investment in the US by the private sector for EV supply and manufacture.
The private sector in Australia has been at a standstill for over two decades due to lack of commitment to the EV revolution by the federal government.
Even now there is no strong policies to support the renewable energy transition.
South Australia is funding Renascor, that's about it. The rest of the states have abstained so far.
WA is expanding it's gas industry.
