My thinking is that the terms of those warrants might have stop losses around this level which would make them vulnerable to manipulation. So holders might be wanting to get rid of them of if stop losses got triggered whoever funded them (maybe a bank) may be forced to liquidate the shares associated with the warrants. Also as the price gets pushed down fund policies may force them to reduce risk.
As you say, its a shark pool.
