Agree, at this stage of a biotech's life, I want the CEO to be married to the job. They didn't bring her on the BOD of the other company to rock up at meetings and say a few encouraging words. She will be putting in many hours over there. Hours that could be spent speaking to potential new investors of which there is currently a dearth or finding better corporate advisors. She is not just responsible for ensuring the trials are run on time and budget. Plenty to be done, Plan B,C,D, E and F to work on. Upskilling internal staff to take on more responsibility when the time comes. The list goes on.
She is financially incentivized to be fully committed to the company. When it is a multibillion company, she can sit on as many Boards as she likes.
