    I don’t think ( read hope) that the state boundaries would be an insurmountable barrier if it could be shown that there’s good $ in it eventually for both the Govts as well as the punters.
    BH shipped its product to Port Pirie and Newcastle for around a century ( maybe more I’d have to check).
    Lead went to SA (Port Pirie smelters) and other products ( silver, zinc) to Newcastle if my memory of history serves.
    Regardless , about the only really accurate thing that Graznien said to me was they were definitely in need of “ collaboration “ to achieve meaningful infrastructure construction and timelines (meaning but trying not to say MGT , SAgovt. NSWgovt, local councils and landowners from BH all the way down to the Myponie Point dream )
    A long meandering phone call after which “ suddenly- nothing happened “
    If there was a decent steel mill at Whyalla and a serviceable export port there in the Gulf then there may be glimmer of hope that the Braemar deposits may finally pay off— but I'll check back again in a few years— say 10 if i live that long
