Yup, any money spent on options cannot be recovered (go back a few months and read the options threads if you are interested). Basically it's like putting a deposit on something you want to buy to hold the price, and then deciding not to buy it but you lose the deposit.
I thought about it seriously, but didn't bother. While I feel sorry for the people who did because for a long while when AGO was rising in late 2016 and early 2017 it looked like a good idea, I'm pleased both will expire because AGO punters didn't really need the dilution of their stock, and I reckon in the long run AGO as a company won't need the extra capital.
