He stated himself, he backs a heap of different speculation stocks in the hope one pays off. Sure he bet big on this, but he stated himself that this was his method.
I wouldn't necessarily follow his money or method everywhere, however in companies like this where you are confident about its aspects and then have further confidence seeing the likes of the croupier buying up it makes sense. But just buying blindly to him buying up probably isn't the smartest.
