A bit of land aquisition in a known gold area. The gold belts in WA generally run from SE from Norseman area to NW near Karatha port hedland. I have some old books from almost a century ago that detail a lot of alluvial deposits around the Ashburton river right up to picking up big slugs of gold from the tidal beaches at the mouth.
