It's a project generator model not uncommon in Canada but pretty much unheard of in Aus. Management team has been in Ecuador for years and has covered a lot of ground. Solgold (Malcolm Norris MD at the time) farmed in to Cascabel. Cornerstone owns 9.2% of SOLG as well as 15% of the JV. CGP also has two JVs with Newcrest, 1 in E & the other in Chile. MN told me at Noosa that CGP has the best in-country team in Ecuador proven by the fact STM got a drill permit for Bramaderos when many others are still waiting. CGP has more ground but I think it may be rethinking the PG model and will do some initial drilling itself. My guess is that Newcrest will make an offer for the 9.2% of SOLG & the 15% of the JV in the not too distant future. The endgame as far as I can tell is that Cascabel will end up a BHP/NCM JV.

@bj14 What catches your eye with STM? Management, the ground, the potential in Ecuador? Stock is friendless ATM. A lot of pessimism about so must be a good time to buy!
