Ann: Options Exercise, page-19

Having learned here to get the form from Automic, and having put a direct transfer in place, I, too, will excercise my wee pile (and I do mean wee).
What I keep wondering is how will the issued shares end up in my broker's account as a new holding; displacing the options currently shown there?

In other words, where is the connection between me, Automic and my broker? Is it the HIN (Holder Idenfication Number)? Or do I need to do more than just pay to get the shares shown in my account?
