CAPE LAMBERT IRON ORE LIMITED


Issue of Shares on Exercise of Options and Issue of Options


Cape Lambert Iron Ore Limited ("the Company") (ASX: CFE, AIM: CLIO) has today issued and allotted 5,494,000 Ordinary Shares following the exercise of 4,494,000 ASX listed options of A$0.277 each and 1,000,000 unlisted options of A$0.327 each.


Application to the London Stock Exchange has been made for these new Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM ("Admission"). It is expected that Admission will become effective on 14 August 2008.


The new ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares of the Company.


Following the issue of these shares the Company has 386,382,948 fully paid ordinary shares in issue.


The Company has issued 8,350,000 Options on the 5 August 2008 to Consultants and Employees. The Options are unlisted and exercisable on or before 30 June 2010 at $0.50 each.
