JJY - thats an excellent idea and one I believe BB is contemplating for speed to market. Thats why he told us in Phuket seminar and again more recently that hes aiming for a particularly "robust" SS -"almost a PFS" as he said. The intention with that -just IMO -is maybe to gain enough confidence to go staight to DFS and save months and $. (Or at least to give any potential buyout candidiate sufficient indication and confidence of whats there is econimically viable).
Its for that reason that I feel SS may be a bit delayed (bit that has not been announced) . Which of course is bad in short term (we dogs dont like waiting past feeding time) but actiually its great over longer term and startegically thinking. Also BB said to me last call when I asking about SS timming that they were doing very useful tests on the processing to finished product model OPEX economics and so far each test model was improving on the last. He said something like "I dont mind taking a few weeks longer if neccesary to improve the SS to the best level we can, rather than rush out something to market thats not 100% just to be on time - We did that with the JORC which allowed us to get a much better one out.-this is the same thing and im not gonna be pushed on quality for a week or twos timing". I personally agree with him. -
IMO the work the processing experts and metalurgists are doing now to potentially maximise returns is all work that has to be done anyway. IMO Its probably better to get more done ASAP and improve the viability, results and confidence of the SS, and include it now in that, rather than race to save a week or two and have a less good result.
The SS is critical to the ongoing appreciation of this SP. I'm definately in the "lets get the best we can" corner even if we have to wait unitl July.
IMO the only downside to that would be that people may get more bored -see HAC's quote after last Ann -"wake me up when SS is ready" - I hear him and I'm sure we all feel a bit that way right now. The shortbterm downside is that sellers may potentially get frustrated and sell more and buyers may potentially sit lower believing they can collect for longer at cheaper prices- (time extensons to news are usually in the buyers favour). So worst case scenario may be that we could dip under the 19c floor...and possibly even "fill the gap" for a week or so (forcing us to suffer the worst fall-out which would be a barrage of "I told you so" posts from Warren Buffet!!-
) . But if it does go under 19 (and im not sure it will) ...who cares...cos a stonkingly better SS
will soon put plenty fireworks under the SP big time (and we can write "I told you so's" back to Warren!!
)
If it just sits here flat and dull for longer that is also good as those sellers here would only be sellers a bit higher up. So the smart money LT buyers collecting it now will get more shares put away for their same money
. making it tigther for next rally.
Lastly a point about the last ann on thursday. While some of us are Ho-humming about it just think about what those 45 holes showed!
1. They confirm the DOF resource remains massively consistent.
2. They add much greater confidence and knowledge for the SS and mine planning.
3 They will probably (when all counted) have added another 40-50 million tons to the resource!!.
4. Almost all the other rubbish listed cobalt stocks (and theres lots of them) would be absolutely cock-a-hoop over drill results like that. ... and their SP would leap - yet CLA market was just like Ho hum ...Yawn... drop half a cent on boring trade... yawn - unbelievable!
5. Just to put that in persectiibve those new holes alone probably prooved up more potentail additional cobalt than most the smaller cobalt stocks have all put together!! Just add it up E-cobalt (TSX) (And capped at more than CLA!!) has 7 mill tons, N27 is it 2 mill tons?, NZC- 7 mill tons?, NRE (TSX 50 mill cap) CAZ, BKM, EUC etc etc.. IMO (and i may be wrong as this is off top of my head) They dont have 40 millin tons between the lot of them and their combained Market caps are about 500 million!!! - cumon guys just think about that -and yet were still like ho-hum more anzing succesful drill hole hits ...yawn..."wake me up when the SS comes"!!!- how complacent we are getting -how lucky we are!
