I agree with your sentiment Lobon, although if I am able to to be totally honest, GCY has had a few hiccups. The debt facility negotiations went on for months, they also failed to raise enough capital when they did their large $50m placement, which meant insto's got a cheap entry later on, but other than that, it is hard to fault them.
As for the market, I think some would be wary of a mining company that enters the commissioning stage, because we have had a few terrible outcomes, the foremost that comes to my mind is BLK. Which has basically dampened expectations, hence look at DCN, just poured its first gold, but... has barely moved (although it did have an excellent run up before the first pour). In some ways it good having no big run up for GCY, as I am not a trader, and have held since GCY listed/spun off, and added when I could.
That being said, I am hopeful that if GCY hit commercial production without any major hiccups, and the money starts to flow in, then the market will start to view GCY differently.
Interesting to note that the primary crusher is operating at rates of close to 3.9mtpa. Very nice.
Also agree about Glenburgh and its future. The GCY team are very much looking forward to being able to focus more time on it as Dalgaranga settles down. Hopefully once they hit the first gold pour, they can start updating shareholders on how the Glenburgh review is going.
We are due a heap of drilling results, but... it seems that almost all the mining stocks (gold) that I watch, have assays arriving after their expected time-frames, so... just very busy labs I hope causing delays.
That all being said, I raised a glass at my dinner table this evening to the GCY team (after reading the announcement), only a rare few get a resource stock into this position. Will be interesting to see just how under budget they were able to be, plus it would seem we are going to have around 6+ weeks of production in the June Quarter (albeit, slow rampup), which will hopefully ensure that GCY does not need to the tap markets again, like so many mining stocks have just as they are about to hit production.
