No one is going to jump down your throat if you make a sensible well thought out post and what you have said is reasonable, however, you have already pointed to the waste so who's to say that they haven't used their nous. I don't think that the CEO woke up one morning and thought staff cuts today - make it happen. I would hazard a guess, which is exactly what evreybody else is doing, that this decision was weeks, not days in the making.
