It is pertinent that a key theme of the conference is investment in oil and gas in developing countries both to achieve energy security and to avoid energy poverty. May be a sign of some rebalancing in energy investment. The green transition is important, but it is not the only show in town. The fact is that the world economy is still drenched in oil and will be for decades to come.
