As strange as it may sound, would ORG be even more on the radar now as a take over target? The 10% sale of its stake in APLNG underscores the value of its remaining stake. Add that up and compare that with its total share price for its total business....energy markets, total integrated gas value, generation, Octopus, Beetaloo potential, not to mention the little LPG business that does not rate a mention anymore these days but could be a good little spin off, energy trading etc etc. Plus lower debt now and the nice looking free cash flow. A take over of the business with a breakup sale of all the smaller parts could be a nice win fall. Just putting it out there. Or maybe a good time for Origin to move towards a spin off possibility that has been sitting in the bottom draw. Who knows but the company seems to be in much better shape now.
