    Announced and Pending auger sampling generally +-40m accuracy.
    The sampling highlights the black soil plains around the drainages plus magnetic trends hidden under them.
    Pending in the NE along the Grant's trend.
    Location of pending results showing the focus on magnetics in the south.

    Some drilling done already in the south.

    The distribution of raised base metal values is focused along the western margin of reported sampling. Why?

    There is a gap to the south of the 3? point Orion anomaly.

    he Orion Magnetic trend is not well supported by directly correlated geochem. Not easy to be certain of this but magnetic correlations may be more coincidental than useful.

    Does assume transposition is accurate - may not be

    Base metal deposits (VMS and associated) do tend to cluster and can be difficult to pin down in the short term. Golden Grove and Teutonic Bore, in WA, are both good examples of this where follow up success took years to decades.

    More detail is available in the JORC appendix to the announcement. DRE consider this style of analysis "fit for purpose" for early geochem. There are strong protocols to ensure results are controlled by standards and check calibrations.

    Soil geochemistry is very dependent on having uniform samples. Explorers try but, in my experience, it is difficult to get that uniformity and the samplers do their best with what are often highly variable environments.

    Having coherent anomalies across several lines, as DRE have in the Orion/Ironclad area, adds a level of confidence to the survey results. Combined with outcrops, em and perhaps some magnetics some good targets are there to be tested.

    ====================
    I had some problems reconciling the transfer of auger samples to my Google Earth database.
    Discussed in this PDF:

    Auger orion[115].pdf

    Had a chat with DT about this but couldn't come up with any solution.

    ======================
    DT replied promptly to a query and was open about it and some of the ongoing activities. He said it was OK to post my take on HC.

    The most surprising, though shouldn't be, thing was they have brought forward the diamond rig that was due to go to the Kimberlies to do some drilling at Mangaroon.
    No time frame or detail but DT mentioned some deeper tests of the initial Yin drill line where he hoped to get some 'sexy' (my wording) carbonatite core.
    I was initially surprised there was carbonatite at depth but the ironstones are the surface expression of carbonatite dykes and associated alteration so fresh rock is going to reflect that. Hopefully, and did so very well. Apparently this observation is repeated on HAS ground below some of their drilling (DT paraphrased).

    Money Intrusion geometry:
    I did query the funnel shape and DT says drilling strongly supports this.
    Maybe one deeper Diamond hole at Bookathanna? My musing.
