Became obvious on the call when SH was talking that they needed additional help to get SDV to the next level and believe ORE has been able to bring this to the table.

The standout underlying reason for the merger is massive expansion on all projects!!, they can then market the joint output and get some of the big players taking notice.

I was unsure when first announced this morning but I'm more on the positive side now and the amount of "Congrats" from every analyst on the call shows that they all believe it's a good deal and will bring out the best in both entities and get as much Lithium as they can to market over the next few years.
