Svm has a couple hundred million USD of cash lying around. This was never about Svm being out of financial bullets or whatever. They just want deep value for what they acquire.
I don’t think SVM ups their bid. If you include the script the current value of their bid is still higher than PRUs bid. The fact that SVM had little uptake and Pru has is the writing on the wall.
i guess Svm could try to squeeze a little more out of Pru, but I don’t think an extra couple of million in profit is worth the price of admission.
we will find out soon either way.
