Agreed, that's p*ss poor. A very good fit and resource, but put the options strike at $0.50 or $0.60 at the very least and make him work for them. This is more akin to US tech companies and their dilutive share/reward structures.
It is an affront to shareholders in it dilution effects. THey better have stringent vesting conditions.
