Stumpy, nice to see you live in a fairy tale world. If you want to look at the real world, you could visit a few tax havens. Avoid those which are banal and boring like the Caiman Islands. I suggest you go to Virgin Gorda in the BVI and stay at Little Dixie Bay, an hotel founded by Laurence Rockefeller (but alas, he sold it). I am sure you will enjoy your stay. The island is somewhat like La Digue in the Seychelles.
As for the future of OEL, I agree with you, a TO would be the best solution, and a TO by an O&G company, in order to use our tax loss carryforwards. But as long as they can buy shares at distressed prices, don't expect it !
