Shouldn't take this long for an ATO private ruling, company has dropped the ball imo for what should be a fait accompli.

Strange that they now lock in a date when one would think it is imminent but they have still yet to receive it.... But OEL now nets another 300k AUD equivalent in interest by siting on this cash for another 2 months. US banks have sweet spots for CD duration terms and risk penalty intersest for early withdrawal, I wonder if the old banker JJ got suckered into a higher rate but locked it up a little longer. I do believe OEL uses fixed term deposits and not just money market accounts for their USD as I've seen lumpy interest on the cash flow reports that would be attributed to CD's.
