If Trump slows down subsidies to EV's and to wind and solar generation and does not put regulations limiting LNG export terminals it will help the OG industry .
How ever his promises to consumers of lower fuel prices is not great for OG .
Opening protected areas for more exploration and changing regulations to get higher activity in the shale basins will also not be great for energy prices .
So not sure how good his Presidency will be for OEL .
A drop in production royalties would definitely be a positive for OEL .

What is for sure is that every day the reserves that fund OEL through production get smaller .
The cost of running the company comes from part of that reduction in reserves .
It speaks for itself the reduction of Market Capital since the Announcement of the return of capital to shareholders.
Their latest attempt to topping up the reserves appears not likely to pay back the capital cost ( of course there is some chance still that may not be the case , so we live in hope )

The other thing that is certain is the market has lost faith in OEL .
They have never told their shareholders what the problem is with the ATO or told us what will be plan B if the ATO gives a NO. .

Hopefully if the USA oil and gas industry gets excited by the changes Trump brings maybe a buyer will buy the whole business and I can get rid this Albatross , lol .
