without this well producing the auditors at year end will revalue down the reserves statements as the current production figures are below what the model would suggest is required to economically produce the remaining reserves . Thus the well is an insurance policy for the reserves statements to stay as they are or increase. So the well has a lot more riding on it than just accelerating production of existing reserves.
