You guys are reading too much into the selling by the Suns. If the Suns thought the termination was a major disaster wouldn't you think they would've dumped much more than just a couple of mill. As someone said at the time, the Suns may have needed the extra couple of grand for any number of reasons (wedding gift, extra spend money, holiday, tutition fee etc. etc.)
