I find it interesting that they get actual really experienced aquaculture management people involved and a proper review is being done and MS gets his marching orders at the same time.
At their burn rate, Dec 2012 at the absolute latest to have it turned around or it will follow the BFT fingerlings into being belly-up and doing backstroke. 3% morts per week is incredible, I am amazed PIRSA haven't shut them down or had a very very serious look at the operation given it is apparently disease ridden in open water!
This company has/had so much to offer, it will take some very hard/harsh decisions to save it, I just hope not too many of my friends/acquaintances who work there suffer because of apparently monumental management stuff ups.
It would be interesting as well to know how much of the infrastructure is actually owned by CSS as opposed to leased from the Stehr Group.
