Very good points, especially re the Oz markets, but I suppose when it involves companies whose future and thus the value to shareholders will be significantly improved in comparison to current assets, short term performance is important.
These larger companies like Eni and KrisEnergy have substantial cash reserves etc going on so the impact is much less, they can continue on without concerns re dilution etc, as seen by KrisEnergy's ability to buy back abt US$126.6m bonds.
Maybe as Aussies we take too much of a gamble on the share market, then when it doesn't pay off we run for the exits. Thx again.
