Zen, It could be the other way around too you know. For example, the instos and hedge funds see the need for refinancing and take short positions in advance.

Then when the announcement comes out they drive the price down. While the price is down it is the small guys selling (stop loss & ml calls). The big guys are buying up big time to close their short positions and take long positions.

As far as I can see they have been scrutinized by the banks and have passed due diligence. If there was any risk of going belly up, no way would the banks refinance them.
