today's ann. was to inform the market of the new CEO. Last week was the ann. relating to clinical trials in Russia which are normally released quarterly. I believe they released the clinical trial data 1 week ahead of schedule so this could be included in LCT's submission to the NHC in NZ which closed on 25.07.
To me, they're hardly making these announcements for the 'sake of it'. Approval to commence trials in NZ is a huge milestone, the answer will be known on 08.08 and they're doing everything possible to obtain it. This will allow their product to be tested at higher doses and tested 'in a more rigorous set of trials' as you say.
