The natives don't want to sell the lake they fish from.They want to be able to be given an opportunity to catch much, much bigger fish. To date all they have being given is a hand line and a bit of bait- and all they have being catching is sardines.The natives want canoes and proper fishing gear so they can have access to better fishing areas and catch salmon- and bloody plenty of them.They are tired of the old chiefs telling them that their patience will be rewarded by the gods.The women and children are starving and the natives are becoming more and more restless.They will make that BIG sacrifice to get to the salmon if they believe the gods will give them canoes and proper fishing gear.
