Hi Rob1000.

Intec will not receive anything for the EAF dust if the governments have to get rid of it. I will bet that the money held by the governments is the cost of disposal if Intec can't use it.

Further I don't think Intec can sell it as nobody will want it. Remember Intec received payment and costs of cartage for taking it from the steel mill.

There is only one firm that I know of in OZ that can treat EAF dust.

Bass Metals may take it but they are a long way off using it; if they can. Intec was going to mix it with richer ore than that in the tailing dam but, as far as I know, did not try it.

Bass Metals will I feel sure use it with the Hellyer mine but that is way off. At the moment they have a current contract with Xstrata to treat ore. The contract expires this year.

I will bet that Intec will treat Bass Metals concentrate from the Hellyer mill as the Intec process will extract more metal and at lower cost than refineries. Bass Metals is one of the future suppliers IF Intec can buy the Mayfiels plant.

It will be good when all the smoke clears and we know what is going on.
