    So am I right in that they've given up the valuable preference B shares which exceeded the debt?

    Good on them for getting the machine back, and some outstanding payments.

    It's a win for them only if the debt is gone and they do still have their own preference B shares, but it doesn't sound that way. Happy to be corrected.
